FOR CHILDREN

OVERVIEW

We are currently accepting referrals for plan and self-managing NDIA participants of all ages. We regret that we are unable to accept NDIA managed plans at this time.

We offer a predominantly mobile service and can arrange visits at a location of your preference (travel fees apply), alternatively, we have a small clinic space located in Rivervale, WA, if you would like to attend.

Early Intervention

Provision of services to infants, toddlers and beyond, to develop visual, cognitive, fine motor, sensory and play skills. This includes working collaboratively with families to understand family routines, the child’s interests and the strengths of the family to develop skills.

Emotional Regulation

Providing intervention and support to families around understanding emotions and the factors affecting children’s ability to cope with the demands of every day.

Fine Motor Skills and School Readiness

Providing assessment and intervention to develop fine motor skills, such as grasp development, pre-writing and hand writing skills, scissor skills and bilateral coordination. Working collaboratively with schools (including advocacy and liaison) to understand the needs of the child and ensure that supports are place.

Functional Assessments

Completion of comprehensive functional assessments to determine the need for additional services and support.

Sensory

Providing assessment and intervention for sensory needs to assist families, caregivers and teaching staff to understand sensory preferences, challenges and behaviours.

Protective Behaviours

Assessment and intervention to assist children to develop public and private concepts, stranger danger, cyber safety, understanding relationships (Circles of Trust) and how to remain safe in the community.

Self Care Skills

Providing comprehensive assessment and intervention for :
- Toileting skill development
- Sleep
- Mealtimes
- Dressing
- Bathing
- Toothbrushing and grooming
- Personal Hygiene

Equipment Prescription

Assessment of specialized equipment such as:
- Strollers and Wheelchairs
- Bathing Supports
- Hoists
- Car Seats
- Alternative Seating
- Night-time positioning
- Beds and Pressure Mattresses - Including the completion of mid cost and high-cost Assistive technology applications for NDIA.
